Mission

Xavier University of Louisiana Counseling Services provides services which are central to the overall mission of the university. These services are directed toward enhancing the skills which students bring with them to Xavier and encouraging the development of skills which will make students more successful both at Xavier and beyond. Thus, the mission of Counseling Services is to promote the wellbeing of all students by providing culturally sensitive counseling, consultation, prevention, and training that enhances the student’s academic and personal success. We promote a healthy and inclusive community through relationship-building, education, crisis intervention, and support.
