Mission

The Entrepreneurship Institute creates a culture of creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship at Xavier University of Louisiana.   We collaborate across disciplines to achieve the mission of Xavier University of Louisiana which is to contribute to the promotion of a more just and humane society by preparing its students to assume roles of leadership and service in a global society. 

We believe that the entrepreneurial spirit is the key driver of sustainable business growth and that the true ethos of entrepreneurship is in full alignment with the Xavier, mission in empowering all people to contribute to our society in positive, humane, and lasting ways.

Our Core Aims are to:

• Provide a key educational resource in teaching and mentoring our students in entrepreneurship.
• Develop entrepreneurial programs that empower our students to actively learn the core transferable skills of entrepreneurship and make real business contributions.
• Serve as an entrepreneurial hub for the entire Xavier community providing key network connections, advice, and coaching.
• Become a nationally recognized center of excellence in research, teaching, and entrepreneurship initiatives.
