Recruitment Offerings and Procedures
We welcome employers to recruit our students through a variety of methods, including on-campus interviews, virtual and in-person info sessions, recruitment tables, etc. Please call us at (504) 520-7364 or email Monique Worthy, Program Coordinator, at mworthy1@xula.edu, and we will be happy to make appropriate arrangements for your visit. We ask that you provide at least two weeks’ notice before your visit. You will receive a confirmation email containing directions, parking information, and other pertinent details during the week before your visit. All campus visits are subject to availability and may not conflict with Xavier University of Louisiana’s official Academic Calendar.
On-Campus Interviews
The Office of Career Services is located in Room 302 of the St. Joseph Academic & Health Resource Center. Interviews are scheduled at half-hour intervals and begin at 9:00 a.m.; lunch is generally from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m.; the last interview is at 4:30 p.m. We will be happy to make any time adjustments to your schedule, as well as coordinate lunch meetings with faculty if desired. As you interview, we ask you to rate each candidate in the categories listed on our Interview Evaluation Form.
Exit Interviews
Following your last interview, a staff member will be available to conduct an exit interview with you. At this time we would like to discuss your recruitment visit. We would appreciate copies of any follow-up correspondence sent to students, as we keep statistics on second interviews, job offers, etc.

Directions
From the airport to the St. Joseph's Academic and Health Resource Center:
Take I-10 East to New Orleans. Take Carrollton Avenue (exit 232) and follow Carrollton until you can make a U-turn (about 2 blocks). After making the turn, come up to the Exxon station (at Washington Avenue) and turn right. Follow Washington Ave. about 3 blocks, then turn left at Pine Street and drive across the canal. You will see St. Joseph's on the right hand corner, with the green windows.
From downtown to St. Joseph's Academic and Resource Center
Take I-10 West (toward Baton Rouge). Take the Carrollton Avenue South exit. Cross the canal and turn left onto Washington Avenue. Follow Washington Ave. to Pine Street, turn left and drive across the canal. You will see St. Joseph's on the right hand corner, with the green windows.
Where should I park?
Visitors to the campus can park in any of the staff, student or faculty parking lots (except in a space designated 24-hour parking) after obtaining a one-day pass from the Office of Career Services in advance.
Hotel Accommodations
Xavier is conveniently located minutes from downtown New Orleans where there are many major hotels. However, we have a partnership with the Holiday Inn Downtown Superdome which can offer you special discounted rates when available.
