Hurricane Katrina

As it is so well known, in 2005, Hurricane Katrina struck the City of New Orleans and the Gulf Region. Since then, Xavier University has experienced a number of unique challenges, especially regarding grounds and facilities. Despite the tragedy, it has been truly rewarding to see the outpour of love and assistance by a number of individuals and organizations. Over the past decade, we have acquired new property, added new buildings, and renovated offices. As we continue to move forward, we vow to continue to improve our facilities on campus.
