As the nation’s only historically Black and Catholic university, social justice and equity are the cornerstones that have upheld Xavier University of Louisiana since it was first founded nearly 100 years ago by St. Katharine Drexel and her Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament. For generations, the university has proudly graduated legions of leaders instilled with its mission to promote a more just and humane society, who strive to heal a broken world and lay the foundation for others to follow after them.  One such remarkable alum, Quintin R. Robinson (‘98), M.S., AAHIVS, has recently had his excellence recognized with his promotion to the role of Medical Director of AvitaCare Atlanta by Avita Care Solutions, a national healthcare services organization committed to promoting health equities by providing comprehensive, compassionate, and inclusive healthcare and pharmacy services to underserved communities. 

An infectious disease physician, Dr. Robinson joined the medical center in 2010 and has served as the facility's deputy medical director since March 2023. He has been recognized as a "2024 Top Doctor of Atlanta" in Medicine + Doctors by Castle Connolly, a leading healthcare industry vetting firm that honors doctors across the United States based on board certification, experience, reputation, and peer recommendation. In his new role as medical director, Dr. Robinson will blend patient care and clinic management with his healthcare leadership skills and continue his work as a leader in HIV care, primary care, and sexual health.
