Xavier Student Startup LegalEase Takes Second in The BizTech Challenge

In a remarkable triumph for Xavier University of Louisiana, the student start-up company that uses artificial intelligence to answer legal questions, LegalEase, recently represented Xavier and clinched second place in The BizTech Challenge, an esteemed competition initiated by Nexus Louisiana. This exclusive program is specially crafted for students hailing from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in Louisiana, and it stands as a beacon for innovation and startup opportunities within the state. Amidst this competitive landscape, LegalEase their exceptional talent and ingenuity, earning a $6,000 prize and membership to Maroon, a co-working space in New Orleans. 

Team LegalEase's success is a victory for Xavier University and a testament to the collaborative spirit and dedication to innovation fostered at the nation’s only historically Black and Catholic institution. LegalEase’s brilliance is a shining example of the excellence instilled by Xavier as the institution approaches its historic centennial, celebrating 100 years of service to some of the most underserved communities.
