Xavier University of Louisiana is set to host the 33rd annual State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-point Championships on March 31, 2022, in the convocation center. The most anticipated event of college basketball will begin at 8 p.m. CDT and will be broadcast live on ESPN.  

The Slam Dunk & 3-point championships are one of the most highly anticipated events of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) men’s college basketball tournament known as March Madness. The championships will feature twenty-four of the nation’s top men and women college basketball players who will compete for bragging rights in the slam dunk and 3-point competitions.  

“We are excited to be included in the festivities surrounding the most exciting weekend in college basketball,” said Curtis Wright, Vice President of Student Affairs at Xavier University of Louisiana. “The Convocation Center is one of the premier facilities in the NAIA, and we are proud that it was selected to showcase on one of the largest national platforms.”
