Deidre S. Lindsey ('01), a graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana's College of Pharmacy, has been elected the 29th National President of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated, one of the nation's premier organizations dedicated to developing African American children, strengthening families, and building future leaders.

Lindsey was elected during the organization's national convention following years of distinguished service, most recently as National Treasurer, where she helped oversee the financial stewardship of the nearly century-old organization. Her election represents a significant milestone in a leadership journey defined by service, integrity, and a commitment to empowering communities.

A respected pharmaceutical executive, Lindsey serves in a senior leadership role with Shionogi Inc. (U.S.), where she leads teams supporting medical affairs and strategic initiatives in the biopharmaceutical industry. Throughout her career, she has championed innovation in healthcare while advancing efforts to improve patient outcomes and expand opportunities for underrepresented populations in clinical research and medicine.

Founded in 1938, Jack and Jill of America, Inc. is a membership organization of mothers dedicated to nurturing future African American leaders through educational, cultural, civic, and philanthropic programming. Under Lindsey's leadership, the organization will continue its longstanding commitment to children, families, and communities across the nation.
