Karen Comer Lowe is a cultural strategist and art curator with over 25 years of experience at the intersection of art, identity, and legacy. Her curatorial practice focuses on 20th- and 21st-century art created by artists of the Black diaspora.
As a dedicated educator and advocate, she has taught at Spelman College and curated exhibitions that highlight historically excluded voices. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with renowned artists such as Elizabeth Catlett, Amanda Williams, Ming Smith, and Radcliffe Bailey, and her work has been featured in publications including Vanity Fair, Essence, and Artsy. Karen's efforts contribute to expanding cultural narratives through curating, advising, and educating within both local and global art communities.
