Erin Biggs, Ph.D., MPH earned her doctorate in Epidemiology from LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans. Within Xavier Ochsner College of Medicine, Dr. Biggs will teach the epidemiology and biostatistics curriculum, helping students develop the skills needed to critically evaluate medical literature, interpret clinical research, and apply evidence-based medicine in practice. She is passionate about mentoring medical students and trainees in research methods, study design, and data analysis.
Dr. Biggs also serves as supervisor of biostatistics at Ochsner Health, where she collaborates with multidisciplinary teams on a wide range of clinical and population health research studies. Her current research colloborations focus on genetic predictors of response to cancer treatment, as well as HIV prevention and improving linkage to pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP).
