Carlin Mackie-Stephenson holds an MFA in Fiction from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a BA in English from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. His poems and fiction have appeared in Copper Nickel, Hobart, and Midwestern Gothic, among others.
Before coming to Xavier, he worked as the Writing Center Coordinator at Massasoit Community College in Brockton, MA. Prior to that, he was a visiting lecturer at Westfield State University in Westfield, MA, where he also served as the Assistant Director of the Reading and Writing Center. He is currently working on a novel about communal trauma in a small Nebraskan town.
