Dr. Brittany Singleton holds the rank of Clinical Professor in the Division of Clinical and Administrative Sciences. Dr. Singleton earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Xavier University of Louisiana. Upon graduation, she completed an ASHP accredited pharmacy practice residency at Critical Care Systems/Walgreens Infusion Services in Houston, TX. She maintains licensure as a registered pharmacist in the state of Louisiana. Dr. Singleton currently serves as an Ambulatory Care Clinical Pharmacist at the NOEH Diabetes Center in eastern New Orleans. At this site, Dr. Singleton provides diabetes education, community outreach and wellness interventions while serving as a preceptor to third- and fourth-year pharmacy students as well as pharmacy residents. She has conducted research via multiple grant funded projects related to diabetes prevention, COVID-19 impact, vaccine hesitancy and health disparities within vulnerable populations. As a 2024 Fulbright U.S. Scholar Award recipient with a placement in the Eastern Caribbean, Dr. Singleton completed her project titled, “Delivering and Examining a Curriculum to Enhance Pharmacy Education in Grenada.” Dr. Singleton also maintains dual credentials as a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and a Board Certified Sterile Compounding Pharmacist.
