Mentoring Network

The XULA STrIDES mentoring network Meet your Village! is built upon the workshop model that is presently used to support the professional development of XULA’s faculty through Center for Advancement of Teaching and Faculty Development (CAT+FD) Office. 

The development of the workshop series is targeted towards issues arising from intersectionality that can be adequately addressed for incoming female faculty. Topics also serve as an opportunity for candid conversations among faculty and serve as a platform to address institutional barriers including but not limited to racism, sexism, and work-life balance.

The workshops will further provide opportunities for networking amongst female faculty with an eye toward managing intersectional identities, service obligations, and meeting scholarship expectations. Faculty participation is key to sustaining successful mentoring relationships both as mentees and mentors!!
