Xula Alum, Lauren Powell, Named Fortune Magazine 40 Under 40 Emerging Leader

Lauren Powell - 40 Under 40

Dr. Powell currently serves as the Executive Director of Time’s Up Healthcare, an organization dedicated to protecting women by ensuring a safe, fair, and dignified work for women of all kinds. Prior to Time’s Up, she led the Office of Health Equity for the state of Virginia’s Department of Health and was declared the youngest black woman to serve as a state health official in Virginia. 

Dr. Powell was recently named a 2020 Fortune Magazine 40 Under 40 Honoree for healthcare due to her hard work and devotion to equality in public policy.
