About Center of Excellence (COE)
The COE Summer Enrichment Program is month-long and the program is designed to introduce and expose participants to the Pharmacy profession. Over a month, students participate in ACT preparation, experiential labs, field trips, and health-related group projects. In addition, guest speakers from various areas of Pharmacy explain the many career opportunities in Pharmacy.
Who should apply?
The purpose of the Centers of Excellence Summer Enrichment Program is to enhance the competitiveness of the pool of African-American high school students interested in health sciences and in particular a career in pharmacy. *Xavier University College of Pharmacy Centers of Excellence (COE) Program is supported by federal assistance made possible by the Divisions of Health Professions Diversity, Bureau of Health Professions, Health Resource and Services Administration, Department of Health and Human Services.
The COE Summer Enrichment Program open to high school rising freshmen through seniors who have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. The student must be able to attend throughout the entire duration of the program time in order to be eligible for any stipends or other incentives.

Step 2. Submit Center of Excellence (COE) Teacher Recommendation forms from a Math and Science Teacher, Personal Statement, Most Recent Report Card

Step 3. Recommendation completed by a teacher familiar with your work. (Must be submitted electronically via email to email@example.com . Please include the student’s full name and program in the email subject line.
Step 4. A copy of your high school transcript or current report card. (Must be submitted electronically via email to firstname.lastname@example.org .
