The mission of the Office of Residential Education, to support the academic mission of the institution by providing a safe, comfortable physical environment in which one is able to pursue academic endeavors and achieve personal growth within the boundaries of community standards and respect for others.

Our primary purpose is to assist in and contribute to the development of the “whole” person (intellectual, spiritual, emotional, ethical, and physical components) utilizing the resources and services of the university and community. Therefore being committed to providing a quality living and learning environment, we will contribute to the overall positive development and education of each student within the residence halls.


Securing housing & Move-In Information

To secure housing, you must submit your initial housing deposit of $100 if you are in incoming first-year students and complete the housing application. If housing has been assigned to you, Residential Education will send your official move-in information through your XULA email address.

Before entering into their sophomore year or transfer students, please note that all students must pay an accumulated total of $300. Upon graduation or departure from housing, students can request $200 of the deposit by completing a housing cancellation form in the Office of Residential Education, located in the University Center Room 305. Emails will not be accepted.

COMPLETE TWO STEPS TO NAVIGATE YOUR PATH TO ON-CAMPUS LIVING

At Xavier, freshmen receive priority for on-campus housing, but it is not required to live on campus. Transfer students may request housing, but it is not guaranteed. If you are interested in living on-campus, apply early to optimize your chance of being placed in a preferred living area.

** Please note all incoming residential students are required to pay an additional $200 prior to February 1st to be able to apply for housing for the next Fall Academic Year**


Upperclassmen

Upperclassmen are not guaranteed on-campus housing. If you are interested in living on campus, please make sure you have completed the following steps:
