Event Description

Are you a registered voter? It's not too late to register to vote or apply for an absentee ballot.   On Saturday November 3, from 11am-1pm,  XULA's chapters of  Collegiate 100, NAACP, M.A.X 2.0, SGA, the Association of Student Athletes, along with Resident Assistants will be hosting a voter registration cookout at the XULA Community Outreach Center.  Throughout the week, students and staff from Student Affairs will be canvassing the Gert Town community, inviting our neighbors to join us on Saturday to get registered.  This event is made possible because of financial support from the Office of the President.

We hope to see you on Saturday  for this important event.  Masking and social distancing will be required.  If you'd like to volunteer to canvass, please contact the Office of Student Affairs and we will sign you up.  

Don't forget about Cooking W/ Curtis- Dining and Democracy on Sunday, October 4, at 3pm featuring VP of Enrollment Management Keyana Scales and Senior Business Sales and Marketing Major Dominic Scott.  The pair will be discussing issues related to the upcoming election (I promise it will be more civilized than last night's debate) and preparing a delicious breakfast casserole.  For those of you interested in cooking along with us, the recipe and zoom information are listed below. 


  1. Menu:
  • Butter, for greasing. Can substitute PAM
  • ½ loaf Sliced white loaf bread. 
  • 1 lb fresh bulk pork sausage with sage.  
  • 10 oz sharp Cheddar, grated. (One bag of finely grated sharp Cheddar.)
  • 2 cups half-and-half. (Don't substitute milk)
  • 1 tsp dry mustard.
  • 1 tsp salt. (or to taste)
  • 1 tsp black pepper. (or to taste)
  • 5 large eggs, lightly beaten.
