Insurance

All undergraduate students are required to carry health insurance which covers them both for the emergency room and physicians’ office in the New Orleans metropolitan area.

This may take the form of coverage under the policy of a parent, spouse, of Student Health Services. Fees for Student Health Insurance are assessed at Registration. The student is responsible for picking up the brochure and card. You are also responsible for filling out your insurance claim form. The Student Health Services Office can be of assistance in resolving issues related to provider bills and insurance.

Student Health Insurance Waiver

 All undergraduate students are required to carry an insurance which provides coverage for physicians and emergency rooms in the New Orleans area. If you have a primary family insurance and prefer to waive the student insurance, you must go to the website below. Deadline: Jan 10, 2008 (all undergraduate students are billed for the insurance prior to registration. You must waive in order to cancel the charge)

Instructions for Waiving the student health Insurance  

1. Go to www.kosterweb.com
2. Select the student access box
3. Scroll down to select Xavier University
4. Select continue
5. Select student waive/enroll forms
6. Complete the form for your status
