The mission of Student Health Services is to provide for the maintenance and improvement of the health and welfare of university students through access to medical care and preventive health care and education. Promoting healthy lifestyles, Student Health targets health-related problems related to obesity, chronic illness and health care disparities.
Early attention to health-related problems, as well as, preventive care and education, minimizes time loss from course work. Student Health Services also supports and participates in health related programs with external agencies and community organizations.
Student Health Services is located at 7235 Drexel Drive, Bldg. 13, 2nd floor, Ste. 217. Our phone number is (504)520-7396. We offer a variety of Physician's Services five days a week according to the following schedules:
Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., our office is staffed with Nurses and Clerical Staff. If Nurse is not available call Campus Police at x 7490, or 520-7490

Report ALL accidents to the Student Health Services. A written report is requested
Absence slips will be issued during the week of the illness ONLY.
Student Health Services MUST be notified
on the day of the Illness.
