1 Drexel Drive, New Orleans, LA 70125

The Quality Education for Minorities (QEM) Network and MERAssociates, LLC (MERA) invite you to participate in capacity building workshops designed to help minority-serving institutions, and other research organizations, learn about and share effective models of intervention that will broaden participation of underrepresented minority students in STEM fields, particularly in life science and bioscience. The workshops will provide excellent opportunities for sharing best practices about preparing and retaining underrepresented minority students in STEM fields, developing networking to promote collaborative and/or interdisciplinary research, and learning about funding opportunities across the Directorate for Education and Human Resources. Acknowledgment of Support: NSF Award DRL-1739139

The Xavier University workshop will feature sessions led by national experts in STEM education research and academic-focused interventions for improving STEM education from the early grades through the undergraduate level. NSF Program Officers will be available throughout the workshops to offer technical assistance and support.
