Danielle L. White, your 2011-2012 Vice-President, is a senior Chemistry major from Rowlett, Texas. Upon graduation from Xavier, she hopes to attend medical school and use her knowledge and training to work with special needs children.

Her message to you: I am truly honored to serve the student body in this capacity. It is my ultimate desire that the work put forth this year will produce an environment which sponsors mental, physical and spiritual growth. I look forward to discovering the blessings in store for us.
As Vice President of the Student Government Association, Danielle will:
- Promote consistent communication between SGA and Class E-Boards as well as SGA in its entirety and the student body,
- Complete Constitutional Revisions,
- Host monthly meetings of Vice-Presidents to discuss concerns and ideas,
- Increase Xavier’s influence in the community as a familial institution devoted to service.
As head of the Student Government Legislative Branch, she will:
- (cannot think of a verb) bimonthly Congressional Liaison contact and reports, and
- Give Congressional reports at all student body and class meetings
Her goals for the 2011 Leadership retreat are to:
- Create a sense of unity between organizations,
- Initiate development of skills that will be integral in E-board interaction, and
- Provide SGA Agenda to leaders and encourage them to unite in our goals.
Aside from fulfilling her Vice-Presidential duties, Danielle plans to:
- Encourage an influx of school pride and loyalty in students, and
- Utilize resources and technology which will produce a better informed student body,

Kelly Allison
Kelly Allison, your 2011-2012 Chief of Staff, is a senior Psychology major from New Orleans, Louisiana. Upon graduation from Xavier, she will pursue graduate study in her field and one day practice as a Counseling Psychologist.

Her message to you: I, Kelly Allison, am committed to the enhancement of university life on the campus of Xavier University of Louisiana for the 2011-2012 academic year. Working with my fellow members of the Student Government Association Executive Board, I will work my hardest to take the concerns of students, and help them to comply with the regulations of our administration. To me, nothing is more important than students’ ability to feel comfortable in their learning environment, both academically and socially. I plan on aiding in the fusion of these two vital components of university life, and I am extremely excited about working with administration, SGA, and the entire student body to achieve my stated goals.
The 2011-2012 Student Government Association Chief of Staff and SGA Cabinet are determined to:
- Familiarize the entire student body with the purpose of the SGA Cabinet,
- Ensure that the entire student body is aware of all Cabinet Representatives and their respective positions, and
- Respond to the valid concerns of the entire student body, representing all equally and justly, to the best of our ability.
To meet these goals, the 2011-2012 Chief of Staff will:
- Chair bi-weekly Cabinet meetings, at which attendance will be mandatory for all Cabinet Representatives,
- Hold Cabinet Representatives responsible for bringing at least five completed comment cards to every meeting, each from different students,
- Give Cabinet Representatives the opportunity to report the happenings of their designated departments at each Cabinet meeting,
- Host “Caf Nights” in the cafeteria, providing incentives for students who fill out comment cards and student complaint forms,
- Build and maintain the SGA Cabinet “Cabinet,” to be placed in the University Center with comment cards, student complaint forms for students to fill out at their leisure, and
- Host monthly ice cream giveaways.

Raven Foster
Raven Foster, your 2011-2012 SGA Secretary, is a senior Biology Pre-Med major from New Orleans, Louisiana. Upon graduation from Xavier, she intends to travel and go on to graduate school with the hopes of becoming a Physician Assistant.

Hello my fellow Xavierites! Let me start by saying that I feel so blessed and honored to be your SGA secretary for the 2011-2012 school year. This year, as an SGA, we have enacted a goal to ensure that students are acclimated in all student matters and activities as it relates to SGA. Everyone should have the opportunity and privilege to experience all that Xavier has to offer; and because of this I aspire to create ways for better publicity this year and for future years to come. Aside from this, I hope to represent you all well as I strive to be a better student and leader. I look forward to a great year together!!! J

As Secretary of the Student Government Association, Raven will:
- Find an effective way (whether through flyers, texting, social networking, or Blackboard organization) of reaching the entire student body as it relates to events and other activities associated with SGA, and
- Find an effective way of managing over-scheduling for all campus organizations,
- Have a good relationship with class secretaries and making sure the secretaries are doing their jobs well.
She promises to:
- Be the backbone of SGA, making herself readily available to assist the other members of the Executive Board when needed,
- Be proficient in recording, logging and distributing meeting minutes, and
- Support other SGA members by being as present as possible during all SGA events.
Aside from fulfilling her secretarial duties, Raven will:
- Establish a great relationship with members of other Xavier organizations, rendering her services towards them if needed, and
Establish a high-quality relationship with other institutions.

Veronica Gilbert
Veronica Gilbert, your 2011-2012 SGA Treasurer, is a senior Biology major from Denver, Colorado. Upon graduation from Xavier, Veronica will pursue graduate study in Musical/Vocal Performance before entering medical school to practice Oncology.

Her message to you: I would like to express my gratitude for you all entrusting your faith in me to serve as your 2011-2012 SGA treasurer. I am excited for what SGA has to bring to the Xavier community this school year. Please know that we SGA members are here for you. We all hope that we can serve you as your student leaders and be positive examples for all current, past and future Xavierites. I wish everyone a marvelous and exciting school year!
As Treasurer of the Student Government Association, Veronica will:
- Keep accurate record of all funds expended, and
- Make herself available to answer questions and address concerns regarding SGA funds.
Aside from fulfilling her duties as Treasurer, Veronica plans to:
- Encourage student health through health-related activities, professional health career speakers and weekly exercise classes,
- Increase student involvement in both academic and extra-curricular activities,
- Build a relationship between all treasurers representing IOC organizations, and
- Playing not only a role in SGA, but also being a mentor and guide for any student who is in need.

Chavez Scott, President of Xavier’s Activities Board, is a senior Psychology pre-medical major. Upon graduation from Xavier, he plans to attend medical school to pursue orthopedic surgery.

Mia Nicole Holmes
Mia Nicole Holmes, your Miss Xavier University of Louisiana 2011-2012, is a senior Biology/Pre-Med major from New Orleans, Louisiana. Upon graduation from Xavier, she hopes to attend dental school and eventually practice orthodontics.

As Miss Xavier, Mia will:
- Assist with the planning of all Student Government Association events,
- Preside over all homecoming planning and activities,
- Increase school spirit and morale,
- Serve as a university ambassador and maintain a healthy relationship with Alumni Relations, and
- Plan Black History Month, Women’s Empowerment Month, and other programs.
As head of the Xavier University of Louisiana 2011 Homecoming Court, she will:
- Play an integral role in helping class queens plan their class weeks by meeting regularly and working collaboratively as a court,
- Promote cross-town involvement with other HBCUs and their homecoming courts
- Organize programs that are will capture the interest of the student body, and
- Support our university’s academic, athletic, and institutional advancement endeavors.
Her goals for Homecoming 2011 are to:
- Dedicate a “Queen’s Gallery” to past Miss Xaviers,
- Incorporate the ideas of the student body in order to plan Homecoming 2011, and
- To ensure that there is nothing else like the Xavier experience and that nothing compares to being a Xavierite.
Aside from fulfilling her duties as Queen, Mia plans to:
Encourage incoming students to simultaneously reach their full academic potentials and to involve themselves in campus activities and community service.
