Maura Jones

Maura Jones, your SGA Vice-President, is a senior Biology/Pre-Med major from Monroe, Louisiana. Upon graduation from Xavier University of Louisiana, she hopes to translate her compassion, social adaptability, drive, and eagerness to learn into a medical career as a physician, with hopes of one day serving as the Surgeon General. 

Her message to you: Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality. As your SGA Vice President I am both grateful and excited to be both an ear and voice for all of your concerns so that we can make our vision of an improved Xavier a reality.

Celeste Edwards

Celeste Edwards is honored to be your Student Government Association Secretary for the 2013-2014 school year. A native of Lafayette, Louisiana, she is a senior Chemistry major with a minor in French. Upon graduation she plans on working in the Chemistry field before attending medical school. Her dream is to become a pediatric ophthalmologist.

Her message to you: It is an honor and a pleasure to be your SGA Secretary. I have been looking forward to serving the student body and have some great ideas to uplift the Xavier community.  It is a personal goal of mine to bring the classes together and to especially celebrate the graduating class as they move on in their academic careers. As your Secretary, I am fully committed to my position and the role that I will play in your upcoming year. I hope you all are as excited as I am. Let's make this year at Xavier, the best yet to come!

Kaitland A. Brannon

Kaitland A. Brannon, your 2013-2014 SGA Treasurer, is a senior Pre-Medicine Mathematics major from Houston, Texas. After graduation I plan to attend medical school, enrolled in either an MD/PhD or dual degree MD/MBA program.

Her message to you: As your SGA Treasurer, I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to represent the student population and will work to advance the Xavier experience to the next level. I will achieve this goal by addressing both student and institutional concerns through communication, implementation, and teamwork with my fellow SGA members. In the end, I hope to represent Xavier University of Louisiana to the best of my abilities and embody the Xavier spirit through my actions.

Donielle Williams

Donielle Williams, your 2013-2014 Miss Xavier, is a senior Biology/Pre-dentistry major from Atlanta, Georgia. Upon graduation, she plans to fuel her passion for positively impacting others through a career in dentistry. Ultimately, Donielle plans to become an oral surgeon.

Her message to you: As your Miss Xavier, I aim to boost student morale in an effort of ensuring that Xavierites have a positive overall experience and attain optimum scholastic performance. Her favorite quote is "If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude."

Michael Seaberry

Michael Seaberry, your 2013-2014 Chief of Staff, is a senior Biology Pre-Med major from Lake Charles, Louisiana. Upon graduating from Xavier, Michael will be attending the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York. 

His message to you: I am grateful and excited to begin the new academic year as Chief of Staff. In this position, I plan to work behind the scenes advocating for students and backing the student body president's plans and goals. My personal goal is to not only listen to and address the student concerns, but to create new avenues for students to voice their opinions and become more involved in the decision-making process of SGA and Administration, making Xavier a home away from home. I will work along with SGA, the Presidential Cabinet, and Administration to enhance campus life in the areas of Student Services, Fiscal Services, Campus Communications, and more.
