Xavier Review Press publishes scholarly and creative works in the arts and humanities. It has special interests in the American South, New Orleans, the Gulf and Caribbean sphere, African American culture, ethnography, and religion. The non-profit press, active since 1988, publishes one to two books a year, as well as Xavier Review.

XAVIER REVIEW

Xavier Review, a humanities journal, is the oldest American literary journal based at a historically Black university. (Note: While Xavier is also a Catholic university, the journal is not a “religious” publication. Works based on religious themes, of course, are welcome.) It was founded in 1980 and is published twice a year.
