Dr. Chris Faircloth, Assistant Professor of Sociology. Dr. Faircloth is a medical sociologist with long-standing interests in the chronic illness experience and chronic illness management strategies. Dr. Claire Norris, Assistant Professor of Sociology. Dr. Norris’ research investigates how social networks affect health outcomes through the provision of tangible aid and social support. Her current research explores the effects that network capital, the resources embedded in our social networks, exert on mental health outcomes across our social class strata.
