Dr. Rosalind Hale, right, chair of the Division of Education, and Reverend Lois Dejean joined graduate students and faculty in a survey of residents living in Gert Town, a struggling community within Xavier’s footprint.  Hale said the division is applying for grant funding to develop a still closed elementary school and revive the division’s pre-Hurricane Katrina community outreach programs there.
