Summer Programs conducted by the SEMEP Office
The following programs are offered through the Science, Engineering, and Math Educational Programs (SEMEP) Office at Xavier University of Louisiana. Both are special programs for high school seniors who have applied to enter Xavier the following year.
The Summer Bridge Programs are specifically designed to give the students an opportunity to enhance their math and analytical reasoning skills during a time when they will be free from the pressure of other academic subjects. These programs are designed for Xavier’s future Super Stars.

Experiential Problem-solving & Analytical Reasoning (EPsAR) is an intensive six (6) week summer bridge program designed to provide the opportunity for students who did not score as well as they would have liked to on the mathematics portion of the ACT or SAT test and who are interested in the sciences an opportunity to get a head start in college. EPsAR is held on the campus of Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans, Louisiana. EPsAR is sponsored by the National Science Foundation through the HBCU-UP grant and Xavier University of LA.

The STEM Scholars Summer Bridge Program is a six-week
The STEM Summer Bridge Program is for motivated high school seniors who plan to major in the areas of Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or Mathematics. Participants spend the six-week summer session on the campus of Xavier University of Louisiana, and can earn four (4) hours of college credit. The STEM Scholars Summer Bridge Program is sponsored by the National Science Foundation through the HBCU-UP grant and Xavier University of Louisiana.

All campus visits are arranged through Xavier's Admissions Office . Visits arranged through Admissions Office include general information about the University as well as a tour of campus.
