  • This program is for students interested in Graduate School.
  • Those who can become GAELA Scholars are:
      1. Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors majoring in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics and Physics
      2. Willing to go to graduate school
      3. Those that have a 2.75 GPA or above
      4. Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • The GAELA Scholars Program can benefit you by:
      1. Providing $1,000 tuition scholarship during freshman year and $2,000 for the rest of the undergraduate period provided the student maintains 2.75 GPA or above
      2. Academic year research experiences
      3. Help in securing summer research fellowships
      4. Travel funds to present research findings at professional conferences
      5. Graduate Record Examination (GRE) preparation
      6. “Survival”/Transition Training
      7. Tuition waiver and first year stipend at graduate school (Tulane or LSU)
