- This program is for students interested in Graduate School.
- Those who can become GAELA Scholars are:
- Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors majoring in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics and Physics
- Willing to go to graduate school
- Those that have a 2.75 GPA or above
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- The GAELA Scholars Program can benefit you by:
- Providing $1,000 tuition scholarship during freshman year and $2,000 for the rest of the undergraduate period provided the student maintains 2.75 GPA or above
- Academic year research experiences
- Help in securing summer research fellowships
- Travel funds to present research findings at professional conferences
- Graduate Record Examination (GRE) preparation
- “Survival”/Transition Training
- Tuition waiver and first year stipend at graduate school (Tulane or LSU)
