Accelerated Pre-Law
For advanced students, the Accelerated Pre-Law Curriculum allows a student to complete
the core curriculum, a minor, and all but 12
hours in the major during three years and
count the first year of law school as the electives
and remaining hours in the major. This
saves a year of tuition at Xavier. Both law
schools in New Orleans will accept accelerated
law students if the grade average exceeds 3.0
and the LSAT score suffices. In addition, other
schools nationally will consider accelerated students,
often with financial incentive packages.
Two Xavier students received free legal educations
from St. John’s University in New York
based on the accelerated pre-law program.
