| PHOTO REQUEST & SCHEDULING |
1. To request that
pictures be taken, a
PHOTO REQUEST FORM must be completed
and returned in advance of the event to the Office of University
and Media Relations. The form, which
can be submitted in person [Xavier South, Suite 610] or by fax (520-7933) is available for
download
HERE.
2. Requests for photos
to be taken during the regular weekday schedule [Monday through Friday,
9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.] should be made at least 3 days in advance. Requests
for evening and weekend services should be made at least 7 days in advance
so that the university photographer's schedule may be adjusted accordingly.
3. Assuming there is no conflict, the university photographer will take
pictures as requested, then provide the requesting department or office
with a "photo bank" online if needed and/or a CD-ROM; but the
individual department is responsible for ordering its own prints, etc.
4. The Office of U/MR
does not guarantee that weekend or after-hours weeknight events will be
covered by photography, unless they are official university-wide special
events.RELATED SERVICES:
The University Photographer & Media Arts Specialist can also provide
departments with assistance in basic brochure layout and/or design, assuming
all text is provided. Furthermore, the U/MR staff can assist departments
in identifying outside printing vendors to complete the design and publication
of such materials for them.

The Office of University
& Media Relations can assist departments or individuals planning to
do bulk mailings using the official XU postal permit. The department is
required to have the mailing sheet signed and approved by the U/MR office
prior to mailing.
Departments planning a bulk mailing should contact U/MR at least a week
in advance to confirm that sufficient funds are in the bulk mail account
at the U.S. Post Office. The Post Office will not accept any bulk mailings
that have not been approved.
