BUILD Interdisciplinary Seminars
The BUILD (Building Infrastructure Leading to Diversity) program is holding Interdisciplinary Seminars every Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in the University Center (Room 205), during which BUILD summer research students will be presenting their research/findings to students, faculty and staff. Open to the public. The last seminar will be Thursday July 26.

Community Health & Wellness Festival
Save the Date – Thursday, July 05 – for a Community Health & Wellness Festival from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the University Center. Health screenings, education, and activities provided by the Louisiana Healthcare Connections, the Daughters of Charity Health Centers, and the National Minority Quality Forum. Tamika Catchings Legacy Tour Basketball Clinic
Xavier and the GNO Sports Foundation will co-host a Tamika Catchings Legacy Tour Basketball Clinic Thursday, July 19, from 10:00 a.m to noon in the Convocation Center. The free clinic, which emphasizes basketball fundamentals, sportsmanship and healthy lifestyle choices, is open to girls and boys ages 9-14. Catchings was a standout performer for the University of Tennessee, USA Basketball and the WNBA's Indiana Fever. Visit HERE  for more info.

Book Launch: Walking Raddy: The Baby Dolls of New Orleans
Dr. Kim Vaz-Deville (A&S Associate Dean) will hold a book launch for her new anthology, Walking Raddy: The Baby Dolls of New Orleans, Sunday, July 22, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Administration Building Auditorium. The event, at which Baby Doll-themed artwork will be on sale, will be a fundraiser for One Book One New Orleans. She will be discussing the book on WWNO's “The Reading Life”, which airs Sunday, July 01, at 1:30 p.m. and Wednesday, July 04, at 8:00 p.m.

Summer Research Symposium
The Center for Undergraduate Research and Graduate Opportunity (CURGO) will be hosting the 8th Annual Summer Research Symposium Wednesday, July 25, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the University Center (2nd floor). Students can register now to present the research they have been conducting this summer HERE. The deadline to register is 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 27. Email curgo@xula.edu for more info.

HBCU Climate Change Conference
The 6th Annual HBCU Climate Change Conference, "Fighting for Our Lives", will be held in New Orleans Thursday-Sunday, Sept. 20-23, with the first two days' events being held on the Xavier campus. Registration is required. Visit HERE  for more info.

Summer Volleyball Camps
Xavier will offer two volleyeball camps this summer for high school age students interested in learning the fundamentals of passing, setting, attacking, and serving. The camps, facilitated by XULA coaches and currentl players, will be held Friday-Saturday, August 03-04. Visit HERE  for more info.

What is the eBulletin? How do I get my news included?
The weekly eBulletin has been designated by the University Administration as THE official vehicle for communicating non-urgent announcements and info to XU faculty, staff, and students. It is emailed each Friday morning (excepting Holidays), covering the events for the upcoming week and beyond.

If you have an announcement or info about a campus event that you wish to submit for inclusion, please send it to xulanews@xula.edu or rtucker@xula.edu. If your submission includes a flyer, it should be in pdf or jpg format. Please note that requests for blast emails about individual events cannot be honored.

The deadline for all submissions is 5:00 p.m. the Wednesday before publication (see future schedules below); however, you are encouraged to send in your announcements as early as possible.
