FATTAH CONFERENCE

Jones at the 23rd annual Fattah Conference on Higher Education. It marked the first time the conference – which encourages minority undergraduate students to pursue graduate school degrees – was open to students from all Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

LIVING LEGENDS
Four Xavierites were among the seven persons honored as “Living Legends” for service to the Greater New Orleans community during the Audubon Institute's 2009 Black History Month Celebration. Among the honorees were (from left): Irma Dixon, XU President Norman Francis ’52, the Rev. Fred Luter, XU Trustee Dr. Myron Moorehead, Raymond Rivarde ’79, Bill Rousselle ’67 and Paul Valteau.
