Xerox chairman and chief executive officer Ursula Burns delivers the commencement address at Xavier’s 85th annual graduation ceremony. Burns, the first African-American woman CEO to head a Fortune 500 company, addressed 550 undergraduate, graduate and pre-professional students and their families, and was awarded an honorary Doctor of Business degree. Rihab Kaissi, a PharmD candidate of the Qatar University College of Pharmacy, is welcomed to campus by XU pharmacy dean Dr. Kathleen Kennedy and clinical assistant professor Dr. Sara Al-Dahir. Rihab, who earned a BS in pharmacy in 2011, is now pursuing a one-year PharmD program, which includes a one-month rotation at the Trauma Intensive Care of the Interim LSU Hospital as part of the Xavier-Qatar collaboration.
