SCOTT HONORED Anna Scott accepts an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree on behalf of her husband - longtime art professor John T. Scott (’62) - who is recuperating from double lung surgery in Texas, where the family relocated after Hurricane Katrina. Scott's art has garnered him a national reputation as one of America’s most highly-acclaimed contemporary artists and his teaching continues to inspire Xavier art students.

Participants enjoyed a dress down day, a walk-around-campus, aerobics, free health screenings and a free two-hour lunch break. |
