STEADY PROGRESS
Even as students enjoy the semester break, work continues unabated on the new multi-purpose Convocation Academic Center and Annex (seen here across the Washington Avenue canal) and the St. Katharine Drexel Chapel.
The aging St. Joseph’s Residence Hall – unused since Hurricane Katrina – has been transformed into a new energy efficient St. Joseph Academic & Health Resource Center. The three-story building houses the Student Health Center and the Counseling Center, as well as the reading and writing labs and various other student-oriented offices. It replaces the Old Student Center – yet another victim of Hurricane Katrina.
