BOARD OF REGENTS
President Norman Francis is flanked by Dr. Ingrid Labat Jacobs ’91 and Times-Picayune newspaper publisher Ashton Phelps as he accepts a check representing matching funds from the state to establish new endowed professorships at the university during the annual Louisiana State Board of Regents event, hosted this year by Xavier.
EXERCISING THE RIGHT TO VOTE
Xavier students take their right to vote seriously, as some of more than 1,800 students who are registered in New Orleans line up to cast their vote in the recent presidential election. Xavier served as host to a mega precinct for the surrounding neighborhood as well.
