ESSENCE OF GIVING
President Norman Francis has reason to smile with Coca Cola Senior V.P. Ingrid Saunders Jones after receiving a check for $50,000 from the Coca Cola Foundation, which she chairs. Presentations were made at the 2007 Essence Music Festival to XU and other HBCU's impacted by Hurricane Katrina.

AJC REVISITS XU
President Norman Francis welcomes members of the American Jewish Committee – (from left) Matias Ringel, Noam Scheiber, Judith Siegal, Sarah Silverman, Melissa Bennett and Brian Siegal – to campus for their third visit since Hurricane Katrina, this time to present the remaining proceeds from their very successful CD project which raised $15,695 for the XU Junior School of Music. AJC has worked closely with the Archdiocese of New York's Office of Black Ministry raising funds to support the University's recovery efforts.

INTERNATIONAL VISITORS
Assistant professor of communications Arnold Crump shares his expertise in podcast technology with one of the African radio broadcasters who participated in a campus workshop sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program. Radio personnel from 17 African nations attended.
