Kamaria Beamon of McDonough GA accepts a certificate from Office of Academic Enhancement assistant dean Michelle Carter in recognition of her induction into the Alpha Lambda Delta, the national honor society for first year students. Waiting in the wings is Jolie Bellow of Natchez LA. A total of 92 freshmen – all of whom achieved a 3.5 GPA or better – were inducted at the spring Freshman Honors Ceremony.

PARDON OUR PROGRESS

It doesn't look like much yet, but the evidence of pile-driving tests signals the beginning of the university’s newest construction project – a Convocation Academic Center – which will be located across Washington Avenue from the main campus on a site bounded by Short, Palm and Stroelitz Streets.
