Cornelia E. Scheider is Associate Professor of German and French.  M.A. in German Literature, Tulane University, N.O., La.  M.A. in Romance Languages, French Literature, UNO, La.

Honors and Awards:  Delta Phi Alpha, Nat'l Honorary German Fraternity; Epsilon Zeta Chapter of Tulane University.  Alpha Theta Epsilon Honor Society, UNO.  Honorary Award Recognition in the 13th and 14th Annual Editions of 1989-1990, and 1990-1991.

Memberships in the following Professional Organizations: AATG, ACTFL, SCCCL.  Member of the "German-American Cultural Center" Gretna, La., and the German Seamen Mission Choir"  N.O., La since 1972.

Languages: German, English, French, and conversant in Levantine Arabic.

I find the traditional classroom where "hands-on" and "interactive/communicatives" most conducive to learning a language.  My mission is to help my students realize the importance of a well-rounded person, and since our body is God's Temple, to try to achieve physical, emotional, mental and spiritual balance.

Among my other interests and passions are gardening, singing, painting and sculpture, sewing, and integrated approach to wellness through nutrition, Middle-Eastern cuisine, Hata and Raja Yoga, Graphology, photography and traveling.
