Janice Dupuy, M.Ed
Janice A. Dupuy has been an educator in New Orleans Public Schools since 1978. She received her Bachelor’s of Science degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Mrs. Dupuy received certification as a Parish/City School Supervisor of Instruction from Xavier University of New Orleans, earning a Master’s Degree Plus 30 in administration. She has worked as a classroom teacher, program specialist of a magnet school, teacher of the academically gifted, and a state certified assistant principal. She was selected as principal of Audubon Montessori L’Ecole Franco-Americaine in July of 2005. Audubon Montessori became Audubon Charter School after Hurricane Katrina. The school successfully reopened its doors in January of 2006 with Mrs. Dupuy returning as the school’s principal and CEO. She later completed her certification as a Montessori administrator at the Houston Montessori Center in Houston, Texas. Audubon Charter fully expanded its French and Montessori Schools, utilizing two campuses in the fall of 2007. The school serves approximately 750 students in PreKdg-3 through 8th grade.
