Where do you go for help with your course work? — The HBCU-UP
Peer Tutoring Centers. And it's free!
All Xavier University of Louisiana students are invited to get
assistance from their peers, staff, and even faculty in the
tutoring centers.
Tutoring is available in biology, chemistry,
computer science, math, and physics.
Tutoring for other courses is available through the Office of Academic Support.

Financial Assistance
We offer tuition scholarships.
We "promote from within" so that upperclass HBCU-UP Scholars can
be paid as tutors.

and workshops with science and technology
professionals. Students meet peer mentors in their prospective
areas of study and also professional mentors.

Info for Middle School and High School Students
- Check the Xavier HBCU-UP

scheduled information.
- We let high school seniors
students enroll in developmental math.
We assist them during this co-enrollment so they
begin their college career in degree-eligible courses.
- We have
summer bridge programs to better prepare high
school students in their sciences studies. Students
who attend this program have successfully begun Xavier by enrolling
in more advanced math courses.
- We provide presentations and
workshops with science and technology professionals.
Students meet peer mentors in their prospective areas of study
and also professional mentors.
