Mission

The primary function of the Office of Facility Planning and Management is to provide administrative coordination to the operation of Capital Projects, Physical Plant and Central Plant activities on campus. Our mission is to provide a positive living, learning and working environment of our students, faculty and staff. These objectives are achieved by creating and maintaining state-of-the-art physical facility as well as upgrading the infrastructure to support future growth of the University. As educational paradigms changes the face of the institution and organization must be prepared to accept, embrace and utilize available technology in the performance and execution of our assigned goals.

Hurricane Katrina

As you know all so well, because Hurricane Katrina struck the City of New Orleans and the Gulf Region, this year has been more challenging then anyone could have ever imagined.  Despite the tragedy, it has been truly rewarding to see the out pour of love and assistance by an number of individuals and organizations.  Although basic communications and fundamental operations for the entire are, including colleges and universities, have changed forever, we know within our hearts that we will rebuild and we will be stronger.
