The Summer Science Academy is a non-residential program for high school students interested in pursuing science/health-related careers. Each “STAR” program introduces a content area to students BEFORE the student takes the course in high school. The programs are: MathStar-Algebra I (content); BioStar-Biology; and ChemStar-Chemistry. The SOAR1 program (for arising seniors only) prepares students for standardized testing. All programs are fast paced, and are not intended to be remediation. Participants are chosen based upon recent grades in an English, Mathematics, and Science Course. Soar1 applicants must submit an official high school transcript.
