The Center for Undergraduate Research (CUR): How did you find out about working on this research proposal?

Delvia Sidberry (DS): As a member in MIE, Dr. McKinney told me about Dr. Crayton and his current project.

CUR: What is your contribution to this proposal?

DS: I participate in the preliminary research where our goal is to gather enough information and data to present in the Festival of Scholars.

CUR: How does this proposal fit into your academic and social schedule?

DS: My research schedule is very convenient because it is only three days a week for about 2-3 hours after all of my classes.

CUR: Will this proposal assist you in your future academic/or career plans? If so, explain.

DS: Yes it will. I plan on applying to graduate school and participating in research definitely gives me an advantage in knowing what to expect.

CUR: Do you have any recommendations for future student assistants who will work in a similar field?

DS: Take full advantage of every opportunity presented to you. For example: Summer Research Programs; these types of programs give you a lot of experience and pay well!
