Gavin is, by far, the silliest and most fun computer scientist we know. He always votes himself the best: the best singer, the best jokester, the best Minecraft Creeper actor, just the best everything. That kind of confidence is only possible by someone who explodes when startled. (Or maybe someone who reminds us of "Sheldon".) Karma has good things in store for such a nice and funny guy.
