Wellness Peer Counselors

Wellness Peer Counselors are a group of trained Xavier students that strives to enhance the holistic well-being of their community, peers, faculty and staff. Wellness peer counselors focus on mental health, substance abuse, sexual assault, and varied topics of wellbeing on campus. One of their major initiatives is Project KD funded by now Alumni Selena Gray to provide empowerment programming for young women on campus through meetings and year long membership. All students are encouraged to develop their physical and mental health to their fullest potential as a member and/or supporter of this organization. Wellness peer counselors are not counselors and any student, staff, or faculty member seeking counseling should receive through trained, qualified, professional staff by calling the Xavier University Counseling & Wellness Center ta 504-520-7317.

Wellness Peer Counselors will receive handbook once accepted on requirements and responsibilities
