Dr. Ashley M. Taylor holds the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Clinical and Administrative Sciences. Dr. Taylor earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Xavier University of Louisiana. Upon graduating, she completed an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists accredited Pharmacy Practice Residency at Ochsner Health System in New Orleans, Louisiana. She maintains licensure as a registered pharmacist in the state of Louisiana.
Dr. Taylor’s teaching responsibilities have centered on Upper Gastrointestinal Disorders and Migraines. She currently teaches in the Disease State Management I and III courses. Dr. Taylor also serves at the Case Coordinator for the Disease State Management I course. Dr. Taylor maintains a clinical site at the Medical Center of Louisiana at New Orleans where she works in the Stroke and Heart Attack Prevention Clinic. Here she provides patient centered care in the areas of diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, metabolic syndrome, and heart failure. Her clinical site also serves as a practice site for conducting her Clinical Clerkships for fourth year pharmacy students.
