Dr. Edward Stemley is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Division of Clinical & Administrative Sciences and currently serving as Vice Chair of the Division. His responsibilities include administrative oversight of the Professional Experience Program, Drug Information Center, and Continuing Education.
Dr. Stemley received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Xavier University College of Pharmacy prior to earning a Master of Science degree at The Ohio State University. Dr. Stemley also completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency with an emphasis in Health-System Administration from The Ohio State University Medical Center.
Prior to joining the faculty at Xavier, Dr. Stemley served as Chief Pharmacy Officer at the Harris County Hospital District in Houston, Texas, where he was primarily responsible for providing pharmacy service to a health-system consisting of two acute care hospitals, fourteen ambulatory clinics and a geriatric/physical rehabilitation hospital. The clinical and distributive operations provided teaching sites for the University of Houston and Texas Southern University Colleges of Pharmacy. Most recently, Dr. Stemley held the position of Director, ASHP Section of Pharmacy Practice Managers where he served approximately 8000 health-system pharmacy managers of the 30,000 member organization. |
