Dr. Shashikant Phadtare is a Professor of Medicinal Chemistry in the Division of Basic Pharmaceutical Sciences. Dr. Phadtare earned both B.S. and M.S. in Organic Chemistry form Marathwada University, India and Ph.D. in Bioorganic Chemistry from University of Pune, India. He did his postdoctoral research in Medicinal Chemistry at the Wayne State University, Detroit, MI.
Dr. Phadtare currently teaches Principles of Drug Action and Medicinal Chemistry courses in the pharmacy curriculum. Dr. Phadtare is a principal investigator of NIH funded research grants. He has published more than 30 research papers in the national and international journals. |
