Dr. Martha Brown Harris is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Clinical & Administrative Sciences and is currently serving as Director of the Xavier University Drug Information Center at Tulane University Hospital & Clinic.
Dr. Harris currently teaches in the Pharmacy Practice course, Introduction to Pharmacy and Pharmacy Skills Lab. Dr. Harris’s research interests include Minority Health Literacy and Cultural Competency.
Dr. Harris earned both a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy and a post-baccalaureate Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Xavier University of Louisiana.
Prior to joining the faculty at Xavier, Dr. Harris was a practicing hospital pharmacist at the Medical Center of Louisiana for 19 years, during which time she served as adjunct faculty in the Xavier College of Pharmacy Professional Experience Program. She was also a Pharmacology Nursing Instructor at Our Lady of Holy Cross College for 7 years.
