Joseph M. LaRochelle received his Bachelors of Arts degree in Biology from Saint Anselm College and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. He completed a one year Pharmacy Practice Residency at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington DC and a Pediatric Specialty Residency at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy and the University of Maryland Medical System Hospital for Children.
He is currently a Clinical Associate Professor at Xavier and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. He practices as a Pediatric Critical Care Clinical Specialist in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Children’s Hospital of New Orleans.
He is involved with many professional organizations including the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, the Phi Delta Chi Professional Fraternity and the Pediatric Pharmacy Advocacy Group. He is a Fellow in the Academy for the Advancement of Educational Scholarship at LSU and a member of the Editorial Board of the journal Currents in Pharmacy Teaching and Learning. He holds a national officer position in the Pediatric Practice and Research Network of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy.
