The postgraduate one year residency includes training in internal medicine, family practice, and medical subspecialties, including asthma, neurology, cardiology, endocrinology, anticoagulation, pulmonology, infectious disease, hematology/oncology, HIV/AIDS and women's health. The primary emphasis of this residency will be placed upon the development of clinical practice skills that can be applied to pharmacist-managed, interdisciplinary, or managed care team approaches to patient care. In addition to clinical practice, opportunities will also be available for didactic and experiential teaching, precepting and outcomes research with the Center for Minority Health and Health Disparities Research and Education (CMHHDRE).
